4H Archery

What

4H Archery class in the Gym.

4H Archery is part of the Shooting Education program, that uses shooting as a vehicle to teach youth ages 9 to 19 life skills such as responsibility, self-discipline, and teamwork. The following disciplines are used to teach these life skills – archery, muzzleloading, pistol, rifle, and shotgun. Through these disciplines, youth also learn firearm safety and marksmanship.

Who

All local children who turn 9 before September 30th 2023, and who do not turn 19 until after January 1st 2023

Virginia Cooperative Extension (4H) is a partnership of Virginia Tech, Virginia State University, the U.S. Department of Agriculture, and local governments. Its programs and employment are open to all, regardless of age, color, disability, gender, gender identity, gender expression, national origin, political affiliation, race, religion, sexual orientation, genetic information, military status, or any other basis protected by law.
